My controller won't turn on

My controller will not turn on if I hold on button. I must use my left hand to push out on left handle and right hand to pull in on right handle at the same time and I must do it slightly hard. Then it will turn on but if I let go it will turn off. I've had about 5 controllers do this. How do I fix it.
