Battery is still dying at 20-30% after reaplcement

Hello,

I had battery problems with the original battery on the iPhone 6s (battery would die randomly) and I ordered a replacement. After replacing, I drained the battery to 0 and charged it to 100% and it still dies randomly.

The only difference is that it dies consistently around 20-30% and when I turn it back on, it has the same percentage as it did when it died, whereas before with the old battery, it would fluctuate (for example the phone would die at 15 but turn on at 30).

Also, if you wait a couple of minutes, you can turn it back on but it turns off right away without a charge.

Ist dies eine gute Frage?

Where did you get the replacement from? All I can say is that it is another bad battery.

from iFixit. I restored my phone and updated to the new iOS so hopefully that will fix my problems.

Try taking a rear camera photo with flash on. It should shut off / apple logo when the battery is not full around 20-50% if it does it could be the battery being at fault.

Though I wouldn't try anymore after that as like Tom Chai said, faulty power IC if it is the case.

Have you calibrated your battery? Follow these steps:

1. Use your iPhone until it shuts off automatically. If it is near 0% battery life and you want to drain it faster, turn on the flashlight, turn up screen brightness all the way and play a video, preferably streaming from the Internet.

2. Let your iPhone sit overnight to drain the battery further.

3. Plug your iPhone in and wait for it to power up. Make sure to use the charger supplied by Apple or one that runs at the same wattage and amperage.

4. Hold down the sleep/wake button and swipe “slide to power off”.

5. Let your iPhone charge for at least 5 hours. The charge progress indicator is not displayed while your iPhone is turned off.

6. With the charging cable still connected, press the sleep/wake button for about a second to start up your iPhone.

7. When the iPhone has booted up, hold down the sleep/wake and home buttons until you see the Apple logo.

8. When your iPhone is back online, remove the charging cable.

This is a board problem, faulty power IC. You can't fix this by recalibrating or replacing the battery at all.

Take it to Apple, usually they will reject warranty because you opened it yourself. In other words you are scre wed.

Update: I restored and was using it after charging it to 80. It was good and didn't die with normal use until I used snapchat (this happens often). Then I charged it to about 17, went out and it wouldn't die! It was at 1% for almost 45 min while playing music in the car. Very frustrating if IC is at fault though. I have terrible luck with phones.
