Can your red light of death kit fix my xbox for good

Hey mate, the kit does have a high success rate. If you dont know already, its predominately caused by over heating. However RRoD can be caused by a few things. You can try these before you buy the kit if you wish.

Dirty optical lens: to clean it just use a $2 laser lense cleaning disk. Or you can open the Xbox, disassemble the optical drive and clean it with a cotten bud and isopropyl alcohol.

Clogged fan and unit: electronics hate dust. Clean it out with compressed air. Do not use a paint brush as it has a risk of causing ESD damage.

In all reality though, the kit is relatively inexpensive, provides all the required tools as well as the ifixit Xbox opening tool (I've opened Xboxs with out it and trust me...its far from fun) and other useful basic tools. I'd personally recommend if you feel its at your skill level, get a heat gun to reflow the CPU and GPU.
