Only backlight on startup, after randomly cutting out while powered on

After the screen randomly cut out while powered on, only leaving the backlight on during use, I have not been able to get any picture since. As far as I'm concerned there has been no severe water damage to this computer. However living in a humid environment may be the cause of some corrosion but from the looks of it there is no corrosion on the board.

I've tried (with no luck)

• SMC Reset
• NVRAM Reset
• Tried to boot in safe mode (unsuccessful)
• Did a full teardown to check for signs of water damage, besides a tiny amount of corrosion no severe water damage was found.
• Booting up to an external drive with an OS installed
• Connecting another display

TLDR: The startup sound will play, but only the backlight will turn on, and the caps lock light will not turn on.
