this is a comment to christian's answer - it was a little bit to long for a comment.
no it's not just you - i've seen a lot of weird people in the past - so, you're not alone! but that didn't make it better or right.
you're telling that you expect the company that produces the device you're using have to do any repair until the warranty runs out - right? so if you drop it, they should replace the broken parts, if you flush it down the toilet, they should repair it also for free...
maybe we should switch to something different:
if you buy a new car - do you expect that they fix it for free if you wrap that car around a tree? - you should do so, that's what you're telling! oh - forgot to bring the "without a question" part into it - to bad..
have you any idea what "warranty" means??
the next thing is about:
"This site exist because someone had a great idea, someone else invested in it, and contributors give their advise and loan their expertise. Are you a senior? Awesome. I'm not, and I've got a lot I can share."
"senior" might be misleading for some people - but hey, you're new - we have a few things that might indicate some kind of skill level.
one thing are the personal "score" in mayer's case it's "only": 85,249 and we have team's - but that's something you could find out when you click on the "users" button
you're saying that you can share a lot - a lot of what ?
sorry, depending on the thing you wrote about fluid damages, it might be some crappy stuff you're sharing -> "The most expensive thing they would have to do is replace a logic board, and that is only if someone plugged it in while it was still soaked. More than likely its just a battery/battery connector issue"
come on - are you serious?
would you use a plugged in/switched on hair dryer in a bathtub (filled with water of course and don't forget to bridge the fuses)
- would you try that ? (in your theory - there won't be any "damage")
so i think that's enough for now
surely - there are more things you wrote that i can't "accept" - but maybe you understand what i was trying to tell you with my little comment.
