@rustynail ,Susan, ZTE cell phone Setting up Voicemail. From home screen, tap the phone icon, tap the menu icon at bottom right of screen, tap settings, tap voicemail, tap setup, tap voicemail number, enter the desired voicemail number. You can also check the links below. Good luck.

I did exactly what was stated to set up voicemail. Put number in but still not set up. Nothing in phone to add a greeting. Please help, can't always answer phone & miss calls & person cannot leave message.

You don’t state the model number of your ZTE phone, did you try as suggested by the Chosen Solution above?
Open the Phone app and then tap the 3 vertical dots icon lower right of screen (or the right hand soft key below the screen) and tap Settings > Voice call > Voicemail > Setup > Voicemail number.
Once there you have to insert the Voicemail number (or information) provided by your mobile phone service provider. Go to your mobile phone service provider’s website and search for Voicemail setup to find the information.

Hi there, I have the ZTE Blade A3 L, having similar issues to others above. Followed the instructions, got to the voicemail setup, advance settings, setup, but then it brings me to a section to input my voicemails number <not set> and I can’t click on anything.
Any suggestions?

Have you switched providers?
By that I mean did you have voicemail before on the phone but with a different provider?
have you checked if voicemail is still active on your number with your current
provider?

My phone number is not listed on the phone.. But I know it.. But when I did your voicemail setup it says number not set and it won't let me type it in. It's a safelink phone

Go to your service provider's website. The information should be on there.
Search for Voicemail setup.
