Home button loose after screen replacement

I had my iPhone 5s front panel assembly replaced because of glass damage and now the home button rocks in it's place. Seems like there may be a gasket or seal missing now. I have done a ton of googling and I can't seem to visually identify what might be missing from the home button assembly.

@efb115,Erik, Home button rocks. This could be because of bad/missing gasket or the button bracket not installed correctly. Below are links for replacement parts(bracket 1st link, gasket 2nd link) and also guides/vids to help open the device to check and make repair. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

Yeah, the first thing I did was remove and reassemble the home button assembly and that didn't fix it. That black gasket is still there, but is there another adhesive pad or ring that goes between plastic button and the button sensor on the cable?

Erik Brandt, By the looks of the 1st and 2nd video link provided, the replacement gasket should have adhesive on both sides perhaps, the vids. show all parts used when install of home button.

The adhesive on the black home button rubber gasket has weakened / separated (probably on the old screen).

To fix this issue you will need to actually replace the current rubber home button gasket with a new one which will have adhesive on it.

I generally buy the iPhone 5s home button rubber gasket from eBay myself.

It is also possible that the aftermarket screen have a button hole that's is slightly larger than original screen.
