Broken SIM adapter stuck

Samsung Gravity 3 SGH-T459

SIM adapter (without SIM) broken. Lower half of adapter stuck inside SIM compartment.

Any suggestions on how to retrieve the lower half of the broken adapter.

If this doesn't cut it, post a picture so we have a better idea of the extent of your problem.

Use this guide to get to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zvjqs5jO...

Now I would just use the tip of my pocket knife to slide it out.

Thanks for your interest in this situation. The adapter is hollow in the middle with two small/thin sides. Because of these thin sides the adapter broke into two pieces. The remaining piece is still inside the SIM slot and cannot be seen. It appears that removal will require complete dismantling the phone.

That is not the way it looked like to me in the guide. Looked to me like you just took the back off, the battery out and had access to it.

Had to completely dismantle the phone including the module that holds the camera.

I was able to access the back part of the broken adapter. Note: The adapter has a hole in the middle of it. It appeared to have been caught on the SIM contacts of something else in there.

The problem I have now is how to assemble all this. This part of disassembly is not covered in the iFixit article.

Would appreciate any assistance or references to this. A detailed part list would be helpful.
