ux510 RAM module upgrade heatspreader
Hi,
I have the asus ux510 zenbook. Which has 8GB ram but is marked as "upgradable".
So, I got a 8Gb SoDIMM module and opened up my laptop. All the guides were great until I tried to find the RAM-slot.
There is a aluminium casing with the inscription "ux510 DIMM heat spreader" but it appears to be soldered to the mainboard and blocked by the heatsink.
No guide is talking about this, to avoid the risk of damaging any component I contacted support but they didn't really respond on how to get behind this metal box. Has someone experience with upgrading this laptop of a simular heatsink ?
Ist dies eine gute Frage?
