I successfully fixed a broken solder bead of the black cable connecting the battery to the communications board. But due to a very raw, non-precise soldering iron, the tin-solder also touches the silvery metal plate that covers the communications board.
Any problem with that? It is working fine now for one day already.

If it were me I would de-solder, carefully remove the battery and start over. You can file/sand the tip of your iron to get a nice small point if you don't want to buy a new tip for it. The risk you run is a total meltdown, poss. fire and loss of your phone forever!

But are there any material reasons for worrying? Is there a closed circuit by connecting the black lead to the silver plate?
Probably not but you always run the risk of a short when you have a wire to metal contact. At least file or trim and tape it.
