IOS11 is messing up my phone and I can't downgrade! NEED HELP!

Hey guys!

I really need help, ever since cracking my phone screen and getting it repaired at the local computer shop my phone keeps breaking, it will basically stop charging, drop to 1% charge (can't go over 1% and once it gets 1% it stops charging), and cannot get service.. the phone also starts to get laggier and laggier the longer I leave it in this state (Probably CPU not getting enough power? idk). Anyway this has happened twice now since getting the non-apple certified screen put on (you could do this fine in IOS10). After the second time of this happening I decided to contact the store again (they fixed the phone the first time it happened simply by re-seating the screen, I know, weird), I asked if they could re-seat the phone screen so I could downgrade the phone to IOS10.3.3, which would hopefully fix the issue, catch is I just went to downgrade it and I was told they're no longer signing 10.3.3 sooo what is the best course of action? keep the original cracked screen on till IOS11 comes out with support for third-party screens (I dont think they ever will) or similarly wait until the parts supplier for the local computer repair shop finds a work around for the issue?

P.S. The reason I think this is purposeful is because of a note left on apples most recent update for IOS11 which read "Note: Non-genuine replacement displays may have compromised visual quality and may fail to work correctly. Apple-certified screen repairs are performed by trusted experts who use genuine Apple parts." so yeah basically they want to make more money by only offering repairs from their own sources, which sucks... because that screen repair I just got was $180 :(

IOS 11.0.3 was supposed to fix the issue of aftermarket screens and have actually had 2 recently that were corrected by the update since I couldn't downgrade...but I only heard of it affecting the 6S, 6S Plus, 7 and 7 Plus...Not the 6 or 6 Plus...check out this Blog Post from @refectio https://www.refectio.ca/blog/ios11-touch...

Iphone 6 does have No Service issues with the baseband IC usually after a fall and I've seen it happen to pristine Iphone 6 and 6plus for no reason.

Battery issue (Charging) could also be Tristar IC.

If it does not happen with the old screen at all and it's 100% fine till you put your new screen on...then it's entirely possible (Likely) that your new screen is defective and I would try swapping out the new screen with another new screen.

Just a few things to Ponder :)

Best of luck!

Yeah they've tried with multiple different screens on it too, and different batteries, the service issue goes away once a new screen is put on but at random the phone will do it again and restart itself then after restart be at 1% and all that, which is why I think it's software

Being that it looks like a battery issue rather than a screen issue, I think you're being affected by an apparently common problem of accelerated battery decay unique to iOS 11 but not fixed by any of the updates yet (https://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly..., the graph).

As for the lack of service and lag, this article has a few tips.

Good luck!

Not a battery issue at all, all software... have tested this and it will do it with a brand new battery :) also doesn't explain the no service, and that it does this at random, the battery worked fine for about a week... so I am pretty sure it is software only and it is just bugging out the phone, as if I have say 60% on my phone and it bugs out again, I will be able to use my phone for the same duration I would if it actually had 60% but it displays as 1%, the only issue with this is that once it dies it cannot be charged back up over 1% :) so yeah.. not battery, I think?

Also doesn't seem to do this when I have a genuine apple screen on the phone (Got the original, cracked screen put on today), just waiting to see if it will do it again, definitely going to check out that article anyway :)

Look past the third party screen to see if you have a third party camera/prox sensor. IOS 11 doesn't like aftermarket cameras.

I think it was just the screen that was replaced, will ask the repair shop though!
