Typically:
1) remove fender in front of door in question.
2) remove wiring harness attachment points (if equipped with power locks and or windows door mounted courtesy lighting etc.).
3) unbolt door while someone or some method is employed to support the door so it doesn't cause damage to the vehicle or the door (if door will be reinstalled).
