No idea what is wrong with it?!

Son drop his 2ds (3 weeks old) blank black screen orange light at top on and blue light flashing, won’t start! Left it all night still the same did some research on YouTube ... to take battery out and put back in.... done that.... wouldn’t start.... left it on charge.... now no lights and nothing happening? Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this I have a very upset 5 year old and I can’t afford a new one! HELP

Hi!

If the console is 3 weeks old, you can try returning it for a warranty repair, if you still have the receipt. They will change it for free, as long as you tell them that it just stopped working (not that your son dropped it).

I have this problem at the moment and also a few years ago. I haven't found a solution YET, but you may want to mess around with it a bit before taking extreme measures and getting a new one. If its in really bad shape, then you may need repairs though. :(

Update (01/31/2018)

Remember when I said I was fixing one? Well, if you are extremely careful, take the left shoulder button off and gently push the orange plastic things in a bit. The bottom screen will work if you try poking around this area carefully. As for the top screen, I didn't find a solution. DO NOT PULL THE PLASTIC THINGS OUT.
