wont turn on or charge after dropped

My phone wont turn on anymore. I already did the hold home volume up and power button. Still doesnt turn on. Try to charge it but the phone still doesnt turn on and it keeps overheat when i left it charge it.. Then i try to investigate i removed the back cover of the phone then i saw my battery's connector to the motherboard is cut off. Kindly see the image link below. My question is it possible to fix this or do i need to buy a new battery? I think this is the one cause of the problem not 100% sure

Hi!

It's almost impossible to re-solder the battery ribbon connector, unless you have very good micro-soldering skills and are willing to put up with the risk of causing a fire while working with the hot soldering iron near the battery. Try replacing the battery, as you said, that should be a good place to start from.

Okay thank you. Later ill buy a new battery and check if the issue still persist

and one more thing. after i remove the back cover. There is a white thing like stickers on both sides. and i just cut them off. is this important on the phone? should i buy a new cover too? sorry not really familiar with this. so that i im not going back and forth.

Hi!

If the white things you cut trough are sticky to the touch they may need to be replaced, other than that no. I can't remember if the Galaxy Note5 was waterproof or not, but after this repair it won't be any more. Just keep that in mind.
