Cord is broken where the wire meets the headset
The cord has become broken where the wires meet the headset. is is possible to repair or replace the cord when it is that far up the line?

So,
The wonderful thing about the hyper x II is that you can unscrew the earpiece to access the circuit boards. After that you can actually pull more of the cord thru the hole and repair using a lower bit of wire. After a quick bit of soldering the like cables i got the headset back up and running.
