The brew-switch on my K10-Mini does not always change to flashing red (stays flashing blue) when I push it. Pushing multiple times normally solves the problem, but it is getting worse. The machine is two years old and brews one cup per day on average.

Sounds like you might need to descale your machine. Crap builds up inside the boiler and prevents correct operation. If you have your manual it will describe how it is done.
