I have 2 external monitors hooked up to my laptop and the mini display port randomly stoped working.

have you tried connecting a known working monitor to it? a different cable?

try an HDMI to mini display port adapter.

That's what I was using. And when I plug it in it doesn't recognize the adapter. So I tried another one and it also didn't detect that one.
