As the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W510 is now 7 years old, personally, I would opt for an aftermarket battery on Ebay that can be found for $10.- $15.
An original Sony battery will most likely cost more than the current dollar value of the camera.

Agreed, but searching for "Sony NP-BN1 battery" gives options besides Sony "branded' batteries.
It also gives the OP assurance that the battery is suitable for a Sony device whereas searching for a NP BN1 battery might not mention Sony or which Sony devices are compatible
I just searched Ebay "NP BN1 battery" received 1,063 batteries listed for Sony (many indicating compatible cameras) ranging $5 & up. Didn't you mention cost in your question?

I just "Googled" Sony NP-BN1 battery and the results ranged from $5 -$69 all mentioned Sony devices (obviously) but only some mentioned Sony "brand' as the battery manufacturer so thought that OP would be able to make their own decision.
