Possible solutions for a PS3 1st gen that has stopped working.

I have had my PS3 for 12 years now, took great care of it and it worked fine till a few months ago. When I turned it on, it sounded like it was still receiving audio but the video was completely gone-tried switching between hdmi and av cables, but that still didn't work. Now, it still turns on but there is no sound either. I am wondering if maybe dust covered the motherboard and stopped it from working or if there is any other available fix for it. I have a ton of my saves on there that I would hate to loose and if I can get them off of there I would be very thankful.
