MacBook Pro hardware issue?
Wondering if anyone can help,
I have a Mid 2014 13” MacBook Pro with the new style PCIe SSD, recently it started freezing/crashing and when reset it wouldn't detect the SSD (flashing folder with question mark),
I assumed the SSD was dying and purchased a new one, which worked for a few minutes on replacing and started doing the same thing, I think the actual PCIe port may be dying, as i stuffed a folded piece of paper above the connector before closing the case and it worked for a few hours, but started crashing again.
Does anyone have any ideas besides replacing the logic board?
Really don’t want to do this as I already had to pay for a new SSD
This is the original SSD, i can post a picture of the new one later on today, it looks identical but it says samsung on the chip
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

Can you take a picture of the labels on the SSD's so we can read them and the connectors so we can be sure here. Here's how to post them: Bilder zu einer vorhandenen Frage hinzufügen

Hello, I think that now I have exactly the same problem with you and I did the same things as you did in this post. Did you manage to reach a solution by chance ?

No im afraid not, im pretty sure the port has failed and the only solution is to replace the motherboard, its the last time i buy anything made by apple, they make it uneconomical to repair so you have to buy a new one, look into the lenovo x1 carbon, thats what i bought as a replacement
