I turned off the TV and when I turned it back on it didn't come on

I turned off the TV now it won't come back on I changed the batteries in the remote and shut everything down and plugged everything in again is there something else I should be trying to do or is my TV junk???

@medusa1 does the power LED flash in a pattern? does it flash at all?
