1 Ice Maker not dumping
Ive seen a few similar questions on here but no exact answer to the problem that I have.
Samsung Fridge Freezer not dumping the ice from the tray to the holder. It makes the ice but will not dump unless i press the test button then it will turn, dump and refill.
The ice making unit is new. I had removed the old one due to a broken tray about 3 months ago so the freezer has been sitting with no ice maker and switched to ice maker lock.
The freezer is set to 2 degrees and both fridge and freezer temp work fine.
is it possible the time its been left unconnected has put some ice somewhere it shouldnt?
Can someone confirm if it could be the icemaking unit that is faulty or is it another part of the freezer not working?
Please let me know any thoughts, i will be on here regularly checking for answers.

yes it worked fine before i removed the old ice maker when the tray broke.
