Turns on but won't fully boot (USB won't boot either)

Hi guys,

I’m working on the above macbook which has a small water spill.

After an SMC reset, the macbook does turn on.

I cannot

• Get past login screen (if I click guest account or main account, it just stays loading forever)
• Get past USB installer loading bar. It also gets stuck on the apple logo with the bar when trying to boot from an installer.

I took out the logic board, took pictures of the damage, cleaned off the corrosion, and still nothing. I’m curious what would cause a Macbook Pro to turn on and start booting but not get anywhere else? It can’t be the drive since USB also does not work.
