Remove the panel of a curved tv

Hello,

I want to remove the panel of a Samsung UN55JS8590 TV which is curved. So now I am wondering if removing the panel from a curved TV is the same as from a flat one. Is the panel of a curved TV normally flat but just bend by the shape of the chassis or do i have to lift it out in a curved shape. Is there something else i need to be very careful with? Something special for the curved screens?

it is a curved panel. These are thin panels. So the larger the panel the greater the likelihood to damage it while lifting. Make sure you have somebody else helping you. Otherwise it is just like a flat panel.

Thank you for the answer. I wanted to do it with 2 because I think it is better. And I have 4 big double suction cups for carrying glass plates. Is there something I should keep and eye on?

Just watch for flexing. They are not heavy and flex easy. A bit of common sense and you will be fine ;-)

so i can not lift it out and place it flat on a table? it has to be supported to stay curved while lieing on the table? thank you

@paddz123 sure you can it just won't lay flat since it is curved.
