Trackpad click working only before Login - Finger movement never work!
Hello all,
after updating my macbook i have a serious issue with the trackpad - keyboard works perfectly.
- Trackpad clicking only works before the Login
- After Login the clicking doesn’t work at all
- Finger movements are never recognized (not before or after login)
I went to the apple store and they say that the trackpad is broken but they can’t explain why the clicking works before login in but not after.
I have done all of the resetting using all kind of key combinations but sadly nothing help. Also a reinstallation of the OS didn’t help.
Sadly I didn’t find someone with the same problem so Im thankful for any help!

you say you done a reinstall ? was the trackpad working during the recovery process ?

Thanks a ton for your answer! Only the clicking worked but it also didn’t recognize the movements of the fingers on it!

check for updates if possible if no updates found. perform clean OS install on your Mac if there was no hardware error you can easily fix the error
