Heating up and not responding to gas pedal

I have a 1981 Bronco 300 inline 6 (rebuilt) new fuel tank, new sending unit, working fuel pump, clear inline filters, clean float, no holes in the fuel lines that i know of, and rebuilt Carburetor. I have checked pretty good.

well when I was on a 225 mile trip it did good for 70 miles about 1.5hrs then it started to act-up. well i got it down here thought it was fixed when there was no problem city driving. There was some fuel leaking from where i was in a hurry to get the new tank in there.

Anyway, when I started on another 4 wheeling trip it started acting up again a lot sooner. we would look things over and let things cool down and it would run for a while 20 30 miles. Then it would mess up again. well we went on the trails in Uwharrie national forest which is quite uneven and rocky. I had one problem when I was running the trails. I just could not start it. well we waited and then sprayed some Carburetor cleaner in there it fired up. On the way back on the long trip it started up again. this time it as totally worse like that component that was failing just went out completely. This time we let it cool down for an hour and we started up again 2 3 minutes later. We made it 60 miles from my house and it was hardly working.

It would ALWAYS start every time except for the time on the trail but i think that was bc it was on a hill a it got flooded. well i went back that night after 5 hours of it sitting under the shade. it did the same thing like it was not getting fuel 2 or 3 mins later. so i sprayed carburetor cleaner in it to just see what would happen and let it cool down and it ran for a while after that. We took the part of the carburetor that has the float in it and sprayed it. bc we thought it was the float sticking. also when it was acting up i would hit some bumps in the and that would make it worse.

Could it be the accelerator pump in the Carburetor, coil, or ignition module?

Those are some of my guesses..If someone could help that would be great.
