Why won't my TV finish it's setup?

My Brand New Amazon Fire TV won't complete the initial set up. I have tried logging into an already created account and making a new account but both times the t.v. says that something went wrong. I have also tried using the t.v. without signing in but it still says the same thing. I have unplugged both the t.v. and router and restarting them but nothing seems to be impacting the issue. Please help, any suggestions will help.
