1 Why is my screen black
I have a 47LN5750-UH. The Tv will come on and play sound. But the screen goes black. You can only see the picture for a split second while turning on and off the tv. I have already replaced the T-Con board. What else could be the problem?

In the earlier day’s circa 1965 as a TV Eng,. and later a VTR and all sorts…we had a quite few of what we called valve jockeys !. To explain: … This was a time when some characters would try to repair their own TV by swapping a valve having no concept that their were many other components that could render the receiver faulty. Many finding a fuse or fuses o/cct or usually in a blackened colour some of the more wizened would replace the fuse with the correct type & amperage only to find to their dismay this occurred once more!. The next stage would be for some to wrap the fuse in silver paper or bridge the fuse holder with consumer fuse wire that first came to hand… 5A 15A 30 Amperes a nail!. Grannies Kirby. Today’s technology is outside the reach of the most adventurous defiant repair shop. Now …today the valve jockey is still around swapping panels in their poorly stick on the wall TV’S.

Hi @lholbrook2006 ,
Try shining a torch close to the screen to check if there is an image at all. If there is you have a backlight problem
