No sound through the ear piece speaker after replacing iP8+ screen?

I have replaced the screens on many iPhone 8 Plus phones, but its only recently that I’ve been having trouble. Every single time I replace the screen, I have trouble with the customer not being able to hear phone calls through the ear piece speaker. I end up having to change the front facing camera cable. I use an anti-static mat, anti-static wrist guards and I’m extremely careful removing that component and placing it onto the new screen. What could be the problem?

One piece of advice. If you don't do it already, I would make sure that you test everything before releasing the device to the customer. This gives you a chance to fix problems without the customer knowing and saves a lot of frustrated customers and embarrassment.

Always part of my routine. That's when I notice it isn't working.

There are solder points on the back of the front facing camera assembly. Failure to keep the solder points covered can cause problems. Look where the assembly was stuck to the screen. You may find a piece of black tape. This was covering the solder points. If you can, remove it from the old screen and reattach it to the front facing camera assembly. If you can’t save the tape, use kapton tape to cover the solder points.

I have to replace it every time, simply because that piece of adhesive never wants to come up with it. Though, I read yesterday afternoon that if you bend that spot it can cause it not to work also, but I try to be just as careful about that. Next time, I think I'm just going to be super-duper careful. Hopefully, 'super-duper' works. :)

As stated above, if the tape does not come off the old part, you can use a piece of Kapton tape to cover the solder points or try to remove the black piece of tape from the old part and stick it back onto the solder points. Not sure how you are removing the assembly. We heat up the area first then remove the assembly using a plastic spudger.

Did you ever figure this out? I’ve been having this same exact issue lately. I did 1 iPhone 6, 1 6S plus,  2 7Plus, and 2 8 Plus over the weekend... and every single one of them has had ear piece problems. Front camera works but the earpiece is not. I’ve never had these kind of issues before and I’ve been doing these for years. And the 7+/8+ I transfer I’ve the tape and still nothing. I’m starting to think maybe Apple is sabotaging aftermarket repairs again in this new 12.2 update.

No, not 100%. I don't have issues with any of the 6's, only the 7+ and 8+. I've just decided to be extra careful and follow exactly to the T the instructions here on iFixit and it has helped some, but I do still encounter problems. I've been doing as the guy in the above comments mentions since I began repairing these model phones. I heat the area up and if the tape does not come up with the component, then I pull it up with a pair of tweezers and re-adhere it. I've never removed the front facing camera component without heat. I'm guessing it's in the way the part is made. It is extremely delicate and you just have to be extremely careful. I've been having better luck lately, but I do still encounter the problem.
