Screen Flickering After Repair?
So about a week ago, I spilled coffee on my MacBook Pro. I know there’s substantial risk that things are going to continue corroding even now—however I’m not convinced that this problem is due to the spill itself.
Several days later, I opened up the case using the iFixit instructions for replacing the top case assembly, and went far enough to take off the logic board. I cleaned every obviously coffee-damaged surface with isopropyl alcohol, but I did not touch the display contacts, as the instructions said not to.
Upon putting the computer back together, first the display did not work at all (it had worked after the spill, once dry, prior to taking it apart, so this was a new issue). I fiddled with the display connector several times, and eventaully got the screen to come on. However, the screen now flickers when the computer moves—such as when I hit a key or bump it.
Do I need a new display connector? Can I immerse the connector contacts in isopropyl to clean them?
Ist dies eine gute Frage?
