Hi @retsirk ,
Did you try using another compatible phone charger, charger cable or try connecting it to a computer to see if it indicates that it is charging, you didn’t say?
Use a strong light and a magnifying glass to inspect the phone’s micro USB charge port to check that there is no lint etc caught in the port enclosure preventing a good connection of the charger cable.
Also check that all the pins are there (5) and that they are straight and parallel with each other.
If there is lint or other debris caught in the port, DO NOT use a pin or metal probe to try and get it out as you may damage the connection pins or cause electrical problems in the phone.
Try using a vacuum cleaner to see if it can be cleared that way.
If it won't move using a vacuum cleaner, use a sharpened wooden toothpick to gently (stress gently) remove the debris.
If the port appears to be OK then the phone needs to be opened and inspected and tested as to what the problem is.
How old is the phone?
If it is less than 12 months old it may be that the manufacturer’s warranty is still valid. (it may depend on your location as to the length of the warranty). Check the warranty statement that came with the phone to view the warranty details.
If the warranty period is still valid, follow the directions in the warranty as to what to do to make a claim for a manufacturer’s warranty repair or replacement.
