Hello, i was repairing my friend’s iphone but when i was about to assemble it and test it out,i accidentally charge the iphone without putting in the battery into the motherboard..the phone then shows apple logo then goes black. Is it the motherboard problem? But previously he said he did a downgrade to the phone and something went wrong, the phone will keep on reboot until a charger is plug in…

You need the battery connected for the phone to boot up normally. Without battery connected it would just boot loop on apple logo.
