client came to me with the issue that her WiFi toggle had stopped working. Started from software level, reset network settings, checked to see if Airplane mode was on, hard resets, iOS reinstall, then moved on to a new WiFi antenna. Works for around an hour and then stops working again. Could this be the dreaded IC issue I’m reading about?

Definitely sounds like an IC chip issue. Take it to a local micro soldering repair shop and they should charge anywhere from 90-150 for the repair.
