Replacing screen; Home button socket cant be removed

I was trying to replace the screen of an iphone 6 plus. I am used to the home button socket coming off with the big metal bracket. This home button socket cable is connected to the actual digitizer. Is it removable, can I replace the screen?

I am not talking about the socket being adhered to the plastic part of the display. The cable is attached to the digitizer. When I lift up the metal bracket, THE CABLE DOES NOT COME WITH.

The 6s and 6 have different screens… do not try to pull the plate off with the home button flex cable under it.. I haven't checked the pictures but if u do have a 6s then do not try to remove that and make sure the screen u have is actually for the phone u

The 6 has a seperate home button flex, it has a metal back plate which is screwed into the screen assembly, the 6s has a metal back plate with another metal back plate behind that, u shouldnt need to ever remove the second back plate the home button flex is part of the screen assembly on the 6s… if u have a 6s screen and a 6 their not interchangeable u have to use the correct screen for the phone u have.

It’s just stuck down with adhesive. You can heat it and pull it off or use something to get under it with out damaging the cable.

it is possible to remove. you have disconnected it and removed the screw.

you can slowly push the button down and use a plastic pry, at the same time, to remove the button. there is an adhesive strip that comes with it, it can be transferred to the new screen.
