Hi

Is anyone know how to reset bios password

On this laptop. My friend gave me it to replace hard drive (faulty) and there is bios password .

It doesn't give me any code after 3 attempts just shutting down.

Yes but this is old laptop not worth much so I thought maybe by shorting pads near ram slot would do the job. But I cannot find them.

If anyone know is it possible to clear it without spending 100+ dollars I would appreciate.

Bios password is not supposed to be easy to get a hold a trip to a place that do repairs on computors is suggested.
