My refrigerator runs if you slap the temperature control lever back and forth. Everything freezes and both sides get cold. But after several hours (say overnight), it never turns back off again until you slap the temperature control lever back and forth again. Would this be my thermostat or my defrost timer panel? Thank you

Hi,
It would seem that the thermostat assembly may be the problem.
If not then the supplier shown above has a 30 day returns policy which would minimize the cost to you.
There are other suppliers that may suit you better. Just search for ED5JHEXTQ00 parts, to find other suppliers.
