Hi there,
I have a samsung un65mu6290v tv. TV turn on fine and audio and sound play buy the right side of the screen is dim you can still see the image fairly clearly just darker than the left side. I have the back cover off and all the caps look ok but the led do look dimmer on that side. I think I have a bad led array just trying to narrow it down with testing. Thanks John

@jbrady1228 just going by your description and not knowing what the display looks like, I concur. This sounds like a bad backlight array. Unplug the cables form the power board to the main board. Once disconnected,turn you TV on. Your backlight should now be fully lit. If not, replaced with the power board (unlikely) If no change it is your backlight array.

Thanks for the response. I unplugged the cable from the main board to power supply and powered the tv on lights still the same. From what I can tell I think the power supply is OK because when it test voltage at cnl802 some of the voltage I am seeing are high but there pin layout is pretty unclear. Also if I disconnect the t con from main board screen unchanged. Are the led replaceable in this tv I am unsure. Thanks again for the help
Yes I do believe they are but it's a PITA to do it on a large panel like yours. You may have to scrounge around to find replacements
The tv did have a bad led strip. Also the power supply is supposed to be part of the problem I am I the process of putting it bad together now how it fixes it. Real pita to get it all apart. Pretty hard to find the parts. Time will tell if it was worth it.
Awesome, thanks for the response. Can you let me know how it goes? I've asked a few repair shops and from what I've been told for this particular model bc its Direct LED technology, it'd cost more to fix it than buy another.

James Ambush what make and model is your TV? What have you checked? Did you try to follow the instructions in the answer?
