A problem in calibration.

Hi ,

My problem with samsung (syncmaster SA100 )

Model number : S19A100Ns/NG

I didnt find it with devices so I choosed 205BW .

My problem started before about 1 month ,

My monitor started blinking ( about 2 times in second ) , I looked on the Internet, many of technicians were saying that I have to replace a Capacitor on the main board of the monitor.

I bought some capacitors and replaced it with capacitors on the board .

The blinking problem been solved, but now I got new issue , the display is located a little bit to the left and down , I have a small black areas on the top of the screen , I think the problem now is with the firmware of the monitor. I tried to press “ Auto “ button . But it didint fit the display in the size of monitor , I tried “MagicTune'“ but it didint help me , it can move the display but it cant make it wider or higher,

Anyone can help me with that ?

Is there any way to calibrate it or reinstall the firmware?

Thanks .

@al3meed33 You replace the capacitors for identical capacitors? Anything else on the main board that looked different?

@oldturkey03

I remember that they were 100uF and 16V

Another one was 200 uF with 24V .

I bought a similar capacitors from the internet , numbers are the same but the color of capacitor was different ( original is black, the one I bought is blue ) .

The color is okay for as long as the values are the same. I have never had issues with the screen size having changed after replacing caps on main boards etc. I am not to convinced that this is a firmware issue. I think that it would be more of an issue with the boards. Anyhow, we'll just have to find out by trying to find a way to update any firmware etc.

@oldturkey03

After a lot of searching , I downloaded a firmware ( dump file) as a binary file ,

But I dont know how to flash it to the board .
