magsafe adapter fixed but unshure about quality

So I got this early white macbook with a frayed charger right at the square tip of the magnetic tip. I took it apart and noticed the black and white wire the black was completely off and the white wire was almost off so I stripped it down a bit and run them directly where they need to be on clear part of the magnetic part (clear when you pull the white housing tip off which is'nt easy) I managed to get the right abundance of the strips of wire to attach where they both need to be and used electrical tape to hold into place which is temporary. plugged it up and it turned bright green then powered on the macbook with no problem. My question is how safe is this for the logic board i don't want to fry anything. thanks.
