Screen is completely white

My iPhone 3G got wet and I dried it for days in a bag of rice. Eventually it started working again and I managed to have iTunes recognize my iPhone once more. I restored it and now the phone works again. Calls, texts etc. all come in, but the phone now has a bright, white screen. Underneath I can make out the clock and all the symbols, and it recognizes my finger gestures instantly, but the screen remains bright white with gray horizontal lines/flickerings. I opened up my iPhone yesterday and checking the number 1, 2 and 3 cables didn't resolve the issue. Would this be an LCD problem or can someone tell me what to do?

Try replacing the iPhone 3G display to try and solve the issue.

I have the same issue with my iPhone. It has been dropped on the ground and then dropped in water. I replaced the LCD and digitizer but the screen is still bright white. The phone still works, I can make calls and use the touchscreen. The only problem is that the screen is completely white. If I hold the screen at an angle I can see the image which is very faint.

The problem can't be in the LCD. I'm wondering if anyone has an idea on how I can try to fix tis.

The logic board is most likely fried where there LCD connects to the board.
