MacBook won’t switch on. Not sure what needs to be replaced?
Around beginning of May, I started having some problems with my MacBook. It’s been through a lot: I’ve dropped it a couple of times, let it sit in a hot car for several hours, been sat on, etc…but NEVER spilled anything on it. I’ve had it for almost 3 years now.
Problem: it started to get super slow and I still have 200 (of 256gb) of storage available on it. The fan started blowing really loudly, even when I’m not running any kind of software or program. It wouldn’t let me connect to WiFi. The charging said it was at 0%. I took it to the Apple store and they did a complete factory reset. Didn’t fix the problem. I let the battery run out on accident, charged it up, and it wouldn’t turn on. Did the SMC reset on it hundreds of times, with the charger plugged in and without. Nothing is working. I took it to the Apple store once again and the tech opened up my laptop and said he did something to the I/O board. He believes it’s an I/O board problem, but I’m not sure. Thinking it might be the logic board.
MacBook was running fine up until a few days ago. Was running a couple of pages on safari and Spotify and it randomly died & won’t turn back on.
I desperately need help. Starting college again soon and am looking for a quick but “cheap” solution. Please please please do not suggest an SMC reset. I have literally seen that everywhere and it does not work, in my case.
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

After your visit to the Apple store, did it start or were you able to charge it?
