Faulty headphone jack or what?

The type of headphones I like (the ones that do not use earbuds) do not work in my phone. I need to press on the male aux against the headphone jack for it to merely detect them and inmediatly reject them. The only headphones that work on it are samsungs, and I still need to use some preasure to get then in an out.
