Microsim tray stuck, due to cutting of sim

I cut my sim card so it would fit in the microsim tray. The tray is now jammed, and will only come out approx. 1mm. Even with force, I can't get the tray out.

Research so far:

I've read that there is a spring probably pushing the front edge of the card up, jamming the whole tray. The theory is that if this could be prevented, the tray should come out.

Attempts:

1. Preventing lifting of card: I've tried to push paper, tinfoil and razor blades in, but there's not enough space.

2. Magnetic force. I've tried a weak magnet, since sim cards are magnetic. It didn't work, but I will try to find a stronger one.
