External monitor not displaying when connected to HDMI port
Hi all. My MacBook Pro (Early 2015, 13 inch Retina) has been suffering from some issues lately. I usually connect my laptop to two external monitors. Monitor A connects through HDMI (which connects to my laptop’s actual HDMI port). Monitor B connects through a VGA to DisplayPort 2 Adapter.
This setup has worked fine for a few months, however, I started to notice some display connection issues earlier today when I opened up my laptop. Monitor A wasn’t displaying anything. I tried reconnecting the HDMI cable and using a different HDMI cable (that has been confirmed to work with another device). Neither worked. I tried to reset the SMC the NVRAM/PRAM but neither techniques worked.
I also connected Monitor A to my laptop through an HDMI to DisplayPort 2 adapter. This worked, and my monitor was displaying things again, so I’m guessing that this means that the problem doesn’t have to do with the monitor or the HDMI cable itself.
Is this a software or a hardware issue? Could there be a problem with the HDMI port on my computer? Also, it seems like my Mac still detects that something is connected. When I open up my Displays option, I still see Monitor A in the “Arrangement” tab. My mouse still “moves” through the monitor, even though I don’t see anything, and some program windows are “open” in monitor A (even though I can’t see anything). I can click and drag programs between my three displays.
Also, I don’t know if this could be related, but my laptop also started to have some issues with the trackpad and keyboard over the past few days. Both the keyboard and trackpad are unresponsive, and I need to connect an external keyboard/mouse in order to use my laptop. Keyboard and trackpad are unreponsive?… Could this issue be related to the HDMI port?
EDIT: Added a screenshot of CoconutBattery
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

Let’s check your battery as it can swell up pressing on the keyboard and trackpad cables messing them up.
