PC is on and all parts work, but can't display dual monitors on start

I recently built a new PC and got everything working, though when I turn it on with dual monitors plugged in via displayports; everything will light up and turn on but both monitors are in the “on but displaying nothing” kind of mode. As it starts up, both monitors will enter the mode mentioned earlier and then my main monitor will say “no signal”. And then my computer will sit there with everything on but I just can’t see anything, it’s like when you boot with dual monitors normally and the secondary monitor stays black until you fully log onto windows and then it’ll come on but it’s almost like the computer thinks both monitors are secondary monitors so they both don’t display anything even when I’ve had the multi-monitor settings configured in the normal windows settings for setting up multi-monitors.

NOTE: When I unplug my secondary monitor before I start it up, everything will boot normally and then once I log in and in the desktop I’ll plug in my secondary monitor again and then it’ll be configured like how I normally have it when running dual monitors.

SPECS:

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x

GPU: ROG STRIX RTX 2080 TI

RAM: 32GB of Trident Z royals

PSU: Corsair RM850x

MOBO: MSI Gaming edge

P.S.

This isn’t a huge issue as everything works normally if I do that unplug my secondary monitor until I’m logged in trick, but it’s quite annoying when I need to do that every time I turn on my computer

Hi @just_me

If all other operation is stable, i would suggest you to check for bios updates in MSI .

Your Mainboard model is incomplete., if unsure, check with their live update tools.

Hi @just_me ,

Check the following settings in BIOS:

Advanced > Integrated Graphics Configuration > Initiate Graphic Adapter [PEG] > [PEG] PCI-Express Graphics Device. - selected

Advanced > Integrated Graphics Configuration > IGD Multi-Monitor [Disabled] - set to enabled

The above setting enables or disables the multi-screen output from integrated graphics and external graphics card.

This item appears when Initiate Graphic Adapter set to PEG. [Enabled] Enables multi-screen function for both integrated and external graphics cards. [Disabled] Disables this function.
