Not sure what you'd call this (Post attempt #3)

3nd time posting this because for some reason the last 2 posts were marked as “innapropriate” and deleted.

A long time ago, my PS3 model CECHE01 stopped transmitting video to any TV. Recently, me and my brother have tried to fix it. Here’s the symptoms:

• The PS3 turns on with a green light, but no video is displayed.
• The only thing that will display is the safe mode menu.
• When we insert a disc into the drive, the blue light will turn on.
• Controllers can be plugged in and charged.

And here’s what we’ve tried:

• Resetting the settings. Safe mode does appear, but when we hit an option, it stops transmitting video again.
• Blowing any dust out of the system with compressed air.
• Other options in the safe mode menu. The only other one we’ve tried so far is “Restore File System,” or whatever it’s called.
• Using AV and HDMI. Neither video output worked.

Any idea as to what to do next?
