How do I extend the life of my lightning cable?
I seem to damage my lightning cables (iPhone charging cords) easily. Does anyone have any good tips on extending their longevity?

IMO Apple USB Lighting Cables quality is So So / Moderate
I had seen those either cables are frayed, or Lighting Pins being charred / blacked.
Get better replacement with MFI certified cables, like this

For repair alternatives
At least it will hold longer, else for short term, you can consider doing heatshrink
