1 Keyboard not working but trackpad works
Kinda a weird issue. The trackpad works fine but the keyboard is totally unresponsive except the the power button. The caps lock button is solid green as soon as the laptop is turned on, but unresponsive like the rest of the keyboard. Here is a list of troubleshooting steps I tried from other forum posts.
- Replaced both trackpad and trackpad cable. (I hear the trackpad and keyboard are related)
- Tried a different keyboard
- Inspected the keyboard ribbon cable that plugs into the logic board
- Reset PRAM and SMC
- Reinstalled Catalina
- External USB keyboard works fine
I looked at other posts but nothing was working. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
