Mac OSX Bootable Disk error code (-9999,0)
Hi I am trying to make a bootable disk with OSX El Capitan so I can continue to use this computer with a newer operating system.
I have installed the disk named it (INSTALLER) and formated it to MAC OSX Extended (Journaled) with a GUID Partition
I downloaded the OS X El Capitain install package and placed it in my applications folder.
I then go to the Terminal and this is the error i get:
Last login: Sat Apr 18 20:15:27 on ttys000
Users-iMac:~ user$ sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capita
> n.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallme
> dia --volume /Volumes/INSTALLER --applic
> ationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app
Ready to start.
To continue we need to erase the disk at /Volumes/INSTALLER.
If you wish to continue type (Y) then press return: Y
Failed to start erase of disk due to error (-9999, 0).
A error occurred erasing the disk.
Users-iMac:~ user$
Any insight on how to complete the making of my bootable disk and fix this error?
Ist dies eine gute Frage?
