My psp is not charging and won’t turn on.

I have an old psp that I uncovered recently and I wanted to see if it would still work. I plugged it into its charger and the power button wouldn’t light up, I assumed it was the charger so I got a new one but no change. I got a new battery just in case because the last one looked bloated, and it still wouldn’t charge or turn on. I’m really lost on what’s going on and it’s been years but I’d really like to play on it again. I’m not very tech savvy so I’m scared to tear it open, I’ve exhausted most of my others options and don’t know what to do, I’ve been on multiple forums but can never find a solution. Any help would be appreciated I really don’t know what to do.
